Bank Holiday Fry Ups Send Brits to Bottom of International Breakfast League
Recent analysis of typical breakfast foods consumed across the globe shows that Brits waking up to a traditional English breakfast this Bank Holiday are likely to be consuming more calories and fat than our colleagues breakfasting around the world.

ACFM has achieved a 43% reduction in the salt levels of its members branded breakfast cereals since 1998
The latest reduction figures, achieved from 1998 to 2007, mean that breakfast cereals now on average contain only 0.33g of sodium per 100g, which equates to less than 5% of the average adult daily intake.

This is particularly of concern as the health benefits of breakfast cereals are well documented and a report like this only further confuses consumers on the health messages that both the government and healthy eating campaigners have long fought to put across.
