ACFM Statement on Responsible Marketing and Advertising

The Association of Cereal Food Manufacturers (ACFM) advocates responsible advertising of products consumed by adults and children. Through clear labelling on pack, educational materials and responsible advertising and marketing, ACFM members continue to provide important news on nutrition and the role of breakfast cereals in a balanced diet, which is key to ensuring that healthier food choices are made for the entire family.

It is widely recognised that a nutritious breakfast makes an important contribution to a child's development, and indeed the government is actively encouraging us not to skip it. The ACFM will continue to work with OfCom and government, and welcomes the opportunity to consult in the forthcoming weeks.
